COURSE REPORT:  The Cal State San Marcos men's golf team sits in second place after day one of the CSUEB Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout, carding a 15-under 561. Greg Mouser leads the field of 104 golfers with an 11-under 133 (67-66), four strokes fewer than second-place Ivan Sablan of Sonoma State.

• Greg Mouser registered 13 birdies and two bogies in the first two rounds.
• Jason McElroy bounced back after a first-round score of 3-over 75 with a 6-under 66 and is tied for 12th with a 3-under 141.
