CSUSM Earns First Win of Season at Biola, 67-64
LA MIRADA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's basketball team (1-1) earned a gritty 67-64 road victory over Biola (1-1) on Saturday night at Chase Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars led for all but 1:02 of the first half, taking a 10-point lead with 59 seconds to go on a pair of Max Tengan free throws.
- CSUSM took a 36-28 lead into the halftime break after shooting 42.3% (11-of-26) from the field to Biola's 40.6% (13-of-32).
- The Cougars built their largest lead of the game at 15 early in the second half, going up 51-36 with 11:21 remaining behind a strong defensive stretch and timely buckets from Love and Munitlak.
- Biola chipped away with a 19-6 run, highlighted by a Charlie Gehler three and a Facundo Aranda layup to tie the game at 57-57 with 4:26 remaining.
- The teams traded leads in the final three minutes before Love's two free throws tied the game at 64-64 with 13 seconds left.
- After a defensive stop, CSUSM took possession with seven seconds remaining and Love was fouled with one second on the clock, sinking all three free throws to secure the win.
