Cougars Begin Outdoor Season with Two Top-10 Program Marks

WALNUT, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's track & field team saw two top-10 program marks in its first outdoor meet of the season at the Kamaka Open on Saturday.
TOP PERFORMANCES
- Freshman Samone Cable had the fifth-best high jump mark in program history at 1.60 meters and finished second. Rayna Bush finished third at 1.50 meters.
- In a field of 47, Adriana Hewitt won the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.31 – the seventh-fastest time in team history.
- The 4x400-meter relay team of Kristin Cole, Aubri Le, Clara Haungs and Adriana Hewitt finished second with a time of 3:58.96.
- Shaylee Mutka finished second in the triple jump with a wind-aided mark of 11.08 meters. She also finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles at 16.49 seconds.
- Rachelle Zilavec finished third out of 22 in the javelin throw with a mark of 36.69 meters.

CSUSM will return to action on Friday with a trip to the Riverside City Invitational.
