SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's and women's cross country teams will kickoff their 2023 season in just over month as Head Cross Country Coach Torrey Olson announced the race schedule for his men's and women's squads on Monday.

"Our 2023 cross country schedule features strong Southern California competition, the opportunity to compete at home, as well as what looks like very strong competition at this year's Lewis Crossover," Olson said. "We look forward to a great season!"

For the third consecutive season, the Cougars will open their slate in Brea for Cal State Fullerton's Mark Covert Classic on Sept. 2 before competing in the UC Riverside Invitational on Sept. 16 two weeks later.

CSUSM will then come home to host the Cougar Challenge on Sept. 23.

The Cougars will make their fifth appearance in the Lewis Crossover in Romeoville, Illinois, on Oct. 7 before concluding the regular season at UC Riverside with the Highlander Invitational on Oct. 14.

Cal State East Bay will serve as host for the 2023 CCAA Championships on Oct. 21 in Fremont.

The Cougars will look to qualify for the NCAA Division II Championships (Nov. 18) by competing in the NCAA Regionals in Monmouth, Oregon on Nov. 4.
