The Cal State San Marcos softball team (35-18) will look to defend its title in the CCAA Softball Tournament presented by FloCollege this week. The third-seeded Cougars will face sixth-seeded Cal State Dominguez Hills (31-24) in a single elimination game on Wednesday, April 30 at noon at Seawolf Softball Field on the campus of Sonoma State.

The Cal State San Marcos softball team picked up eight All-CCAA honors as Paige Donnelly, Jayline Sloss and Madison Waymire were named to the first team, Jillian Albayati, Savannah Coyle and Delaney Prater garnered second-team honors and Gianna Lombardi and Dahlia Fink were named honorable mentions, the conference office announced on Monday.

The No. 25 Cal State San Marcos softball team (35-16, 21-13) CCAA) split Friday's doubleheader with No. 13 Cal State East Bay (35-11, 23-10 CCAA). The Cougars dropped game one, 5-2, before Paige Donnelly hit a walk-off RBI double in the ninth to take game two, 2-1, from the Pioneers.

The No. 25 Cal State San Marcos softball team (34-15, 20-12 CCAA) will play its final 2025 regular-season games at home this weekend as it hosts CCAA leader Cal State East Bay (35-10, 23-9 CCAA) in a four-game series beginning on Friday with a 1 p.m. doubleheader before concluding with an 11 a.m. twinbill on Saturday,Following Saturday's games, CSUSM will honor seniors Aneesa Arredondo, Savannah Coyle, Paige Donnelly, Dahlia Fink, Makeznie Guiliano, Mackenzie Kestler, Gianna Lombardi, Delaney Prater, Jayline Sloss and Madison Waymire.
No. 18 CSUSM Splits Saturday Twinbill at CSUDH
The No. 18 Cal State San Marcos softball team (34-15, 20-12 CCAA) ended the weekend with a run-ruled, five-inning 9-1 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills (29-20, 16-14 CCAA) on Saturday at Toro Field in Carson. The Cougars split the doubleheader, falling 5-3 in the opener. With the win, CSUSM secured its spot in the CCAA Tournament which will be held April 30-May 3 in Rohnert Park on the campus of Sonoma State.
