COURSE REPORT:  Playing in windy conditions, the No. 7 Cal State San Marcos women's golf team (313, +29) is just eight strokes back from leader Cal State LA (305, +21) after day one of the NCAA West Regional held at Tascosa Golf Club in Amarillo, Texas.

FIRST TEE

• Makenna Cabardo was CSUSM's top golfer on Monday with a 6-over 77 and is in a 10-way tie for 13th place.
• Kiara Hernandez and Diana Delgado follow with a 7-over 78 and are tied for 23rd place.
• In a 12-way tie for 47th place, Madison Murr and Regan Barton both carded a 9-over 80 in the first round.
