COURSE REPORT:  Cal State San Marcos' Madison Murr is one stroke out of first place following the first round of the NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championships held in Winter Garden, Florida. As a team, the Cougars are tied for 14th place with a 12-over 300 and are only five strokes out of the top eight.
 
FIRST TEE

• In an eight-way tie for third with a 2-under 70, Murr opened the day with two birdies before posting a triple bogey on hole three. She finished the front nine with three birdies and three pars. Murr tallied an even-par 36 on the back nine with a birdie and bogey.
• Regan Barton is in a 15-way tie for 50th place after posting a 2-over 74 on Tuesday.
• Makenna Cabardo is tied for 76th place with 12 other golfers with a 4-over 76.
• Diana Delgado and Hannah Anderson both posted an 8-over 80 and are tied with five other golfers for 104th place.
