CSUSM Falls to No. 3 CSUDH, 92-52
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team (0-12, 0-6 CCAA) fell 92-52 to No. 3 Cal State Dominguez Hills (15-0, 7-0 CCAA) on Thursday night in The Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars got the first bucket of the game on a Rory Hetrick layup at 8:34 of the first quarter.
- The Toros ended the second quarter on a 15-0 run to take a 51-21 lead into the halftime break after shooting 72.2% (13-of-18) from the field.
- Forty-two of CSUDH's 51 points in the first half were made in the paint.
- Okonkwo led CSUSM with six points in the first 20 minutes while Morse tallied four points and four assists.
- The Cougars put together a 6-0 run capped by a second-chance layup by Okonkwo at 6:10 of the third quarter.
- CSUDH notched its largest lead of the game on two different occasions in the fourth quarter – at the 7:19 mark on a A'moree Ferrel made free throw and with seven seconds remaining on a Tiara Jones layup.
FAST BREAKS
- CSUSM concluded the game shooting 36.8% (21-of-57) from the field while CSUDH came in at 55.2% (37-of-67).
- This was the largest margin of defeat in the NCAA Division II era (2017-present) for CSUSM.
- Johnson, Hetrick and Morse led CSUSM with 11 points each.
