Olson Announces 2025 Outdoor Track & Field Schedule

SAN MARCOS, Calif. – With the outdoor track & field season set to commence next month, Cal State San Marcos Track & Field Head Coach Torrey Olson announced the schedule for his men's and women's teams on Monday.

The outdoor schedule consists of 15 meets before the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

"This year is interesting because there is one week fewer in the outdoor season compared to the past few years," Olson said. "Many of the meets on our schedule are meets we've competed in in past seasons but expect to fit a different need in the schedule this year. I'm excited for the season and can't wait to get started."

The Cougars will begin their 2025 season at Mt. San Antonio College's Kamaka Open (Feb. 22) before ending the month at the Riverside City Invitational (Feb. 28).

CSUSM will begin March at Long Beach State Beach Opener (March 7-8) and the Occidental Distance Carnival & Spring Break Classic (March 8). After a weekend off, the Cougars will travel down to San Diego State for the Aztec Invitational (March 21-22). CSUSM will end March by hosting the Mangrum Invitational (March 28) and competing at UC Irvine's Vince O'Boyle Track & Field Classic (March 29).

The Cougars will head down to UC San Diego for the first meet of April at the Triton Invitational (April 4-5). After a week off, CSUSM will take part in five meets over four days at Azusa Pacific's Bryan Clay Invitational (April 16-18), the Mt. SAC Relays (April 17-19), Long Beach State's Pacific Coast Invitational (April 17), La Verne's ULV Leopard Invitational (April 17-18) and Long Beach State's Beach Invitational (April 18-19).

The start of May will see the Cougars compete in the CCAA Championships (May 1-3) in Turlock. CSUSM's final opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships will be at Azusa Pacific's Franson Last Chance (May 9-10). Should any Cougar qualify, they'll head to Pueblo, Colorado, for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships (May 22-24).
