CSUSM Posts Another 1-0 Shutout Win at Vanguard

Box Score COSTA MESA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's soccer team (3-0-1) posted another 1-0 shutout in its first road game of the season at Vanguard (0-1-1) on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • With time winding down and the game still scoreless in the 84th minute, a pass from Brunetto found Baker's right foot, who put the ball into the upper left portion of the goal from the middle right side of the box to give CSUSM a 1-0 lead.

  • This is the second consecutive season in which CSUSM has begun the year at 3-0-1.
  • Baker's goal was his second of the season and fourth of his career at CSUSM.
