CSUSM Places 113 on CCAA All-Academic List
SAN MARCOS, Calif. – A total of 113 Cal State San Marcos student-athletes were named to the 2023-24 CCAA All-Academic Team on Tuesday afternoon.
The All-Academic Award recognizes undergraduate student-athletes who were on a roster in good standing in a Conference-sponsored sport and earned a varsity letter during the academic year while also achieving a 3.40 grade-point average or higher during the 2023-24 school year.
A total of 1,030 student-athletes from across the 12 CCAA member institutions collected CCAA All-Academic honors in 2023-24. The CCAA began handing out All-Academic honors in 2005-06, and the 1,030 selections set the conference record, eclipsing the 935 selections in 2021-22.
"Congratulations to all of the CCAA All-Academic honorees for helping set a new conference record in 2023-24," said CCAA Commissioner Allen Hardison. "The size of this list is a testament to the dedication our student-athletes display on and off the playing surface throughout the year. In my first year as commissioner, I have been so impressed with the hard work these student-athletes put into academics, training, competition, and being leaders in our communities. It is something our conference is very proud of. Thank you also to our coaches, academic advisors, and administration teams across all our campuses that help drive our student-athletes towards success daily."
Eight of 12 universities increased their all-academic selections from last year.
Since joining the league in the 2015-16 academic year, CSUSM has tallied the most CCAA All-Academic honorees with a combined total of 933.
