CSUSM Falls at Cal State Monterey Bay, 63-52
SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team (4-2, 1-1 CCAA) dropped a 63-52 decision to Cal State Monterey Bay (3-2, 1-1 CCAA) on Saturday afternoon at the Otter Sports Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Haan opened the scoring with a driving layup at 9:35 for a 2-0 CSUSM lead—the Cougars' first and only lead in the game.
- CSUMB answered with a Jennifer Moreno Ortiz 3-pointer at 8:53 to go up 3-2, then a Cheyanne Whitfield layup and another Moreno trey for an 8-2 edge at 7:53.
- Tamashiro stopped the early run with a 3-pointer at 6:29 to make it 12-5.
- Aliyah Young beat the first-quarter horn with a 3-pointer at :21, sending CSUMB to a 21-10 lead after 10 minutes.
- Bobadilla sparked the Cougars in the second with a 3-pointer at 9:38 (21-13) and later drilled another at 1:40 to pull CSUSM within 29-27.
- CSUMB took a 33-27 lead into the halftime break after shooting 35.7% (10-of-28) to CSUSM's 36.0% (9-of-25).
- Riley Walls' layup at 7:32 of the third made it 39-27, and A'ajah Slocum's free throws at 5:48 pushed CSUMB's largest lead to 14 at 44-30.
